Your initial evaluation will include collecting a detailed medical history that is related to your condition.  Next, an extensive physical exam will take place that may include both an external and internal component depending on your complaints.  Your muscles, bones, and other connective tissues of your low back, hips, and pelvis will be evaluated much like a traditional orthopedic evaluation.  An internal digital exam of your pelvic floor muscles, while not required, can provide more detailed information about your pelvic problems.
